The De Buyer blue steel pancake pan is a high-quality cooking utensil known for its exceptional heat distribution and retention. Its natural non-stick properties improve with use, making it ideal for perfectly browned pancakes and crepes.

Features :

  • Iron blued through a surface thermal treatment gives temporary protection against oxidation

This pan is made from carbon steel and needs to be seasoned prior to use. Instructions on how to do this can be found either on the pan's sleeve or at debuyer.com. Carbon steel is not dishwasher safe and will rust with prolonged exposure to water. This is not a manufacturing defect but is rather an inherent characteristic of steel, and unfortunately we do not accept returns of pans that have been left to rust. If you are looking for a more low-maintenance option, maybe consider De Buyer's stainless steel and non-stick ranges.
